Contemporary Art Day
Warehouse designates a special prize.

In occasion of the Contemporary Art Day organized by AMACI (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums) and dedicated to today's art and public, WAREHOUSE gallery designates a special prize. The 4th of October, from 10,30 to 19,30 the gallery will give the possibility to every visitor to win a work of Matteo Fato, the young talented Italian artist that in this moment has a solo exhibition with his new works at Warehouse. To win the prize the visitor should leave his/her own written thought or message regarding contemporary art in the signature book of the gallery which then will be judged by the gallery's Advisor Filippo Tattoni-Marcozzi and to the visitor that has left the most interesting comment will be awarded Fato's work, a drawing from the video "No Title with Flame". Warehouse, by accepting to adhere to this initiative promoted by AMACI, would like to invite the public to participate to the dynamism, the vivacity and the richness of the culture in our country and to give importance to the role that contemporary art has today in our cultural, social and economic development. This 2008 edition of the Contemporary Art Day has also a very important social mission. As a matter of fact, the Association AMACI together with UNICEF is on the side of the children to fight against the racial discrimination which still exists in most countries of the world. This year AMACI wants to throw a strong message of social responsibility through the force of today's art.

Warehouse e Contemporary City Foundation

Warehouse - Contemporary Art in Teramo from this year is undertaking a common project with the Contemporary City Foundation of Moscow and with Teresa Mavica, artistic director of the foundation. The Foundation, constituted in 2005, is committed in giving a chance to the young Russian curators and in promoting young artists donating them a space as laboratory for specific project sites. For this purpose both Warehouse and Contemporary City Foundation with an enriched research of the young Russian art in an international context, will promote a programme with exhibitions, residences, project room and cultural activity exchanges with young Russian artists which through the following activities, will be exposed to a wider public.
