Adam Ball
Adam Ball (Londra 1977) è uno tra i pittori più interessanti del panorama artistico inglese.
Presente in prestigiose collezioni, come ad esempio quella della Goss-Michael Foundation o della collezione Ross Perot, la sua pittura affronta le tematiche legate alla rappresentazione della natura attraverso tecniche varie, dalla scomposizione delle immagini in patterns ottici, al frottage, alla carta tagliata a mano Nei suoi lavori è presente una rilettura in chiave contemporanea del movimento dell’Arts and Crafts, soprattutto nei quadri che propongono la ripetizione, quasi serigrafica, di temi floreali come nelle tappezzerie di William Morris, ma con uno stile che ricorda i colori acidi degli anni ’60 o l’approccio neo-concettuale tipicamente YBA.
